48hr FILM FESTIVAL
In May of 2011, my mom and I signed up for the 48 hour film festival in Boston, where participants pay a fee to make a movie in 48 hours. This is what was completed with a two person team, writing, producing, shooting, acting, and editing in 48hrs. The genre assignment was Film de Femme, the prop was a chess piece, line of dialogue was “I didn’t see that coming,” and character was Aunt Henrietta or Uncle Hank. Music was written by Jay McKay.
TYLER JEWELL WEB SERIES
Leading up to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games and the spring 2011 release of the half hour documentary, Another Day in Paradise, this eleven part web series is an inside look at the life of an Alpine Snowboarder, Tyler Jewell. Music was written by Jay McKay.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PICTURES 2009
This film was shot on Super 8mm and was made driving across the country with the gracious Emilia DeMarchis. The young lady made a few cat heads (amazing) and we shot a movie about a couple cats driving across America. The fascination with the epistemological and metaphysical questions concerning pictures is obvious, as the male cat seeks revenge for some lost pictures of the past. Music by Pennington Productions very own Jay McKay.
STATUES ALSO EAT FRUIT 2008
Yet another inspiring piece with the help of the ever-gorgeous Emilia DeMarchis, this short film (Super 8mm) was shot in Rome, at an old Villa. Shot in the early morning amongst the Italian walkers, joggers, and dog lovers.
First stop motion Super8mm piece, where a christmas tree decides to go back where it belongs.
Partly experimentation, partly theory based, these collage animations utilize paper cut outs from magazines to compose small videos ranging from 10 seconds to a minute. Each piece has an original score composed on a janky keyboard accompanied by a stream of consciousness voice over.
